Coffee Roaster

Design concept of a smart coffee roaster for a swiss Start Up. Made for home appliance as well as micro-roasteries and coffee shops, this early design concept aims to detach the roaster from the technology and present it as a sculptural object. Once switched on, the coffee roaster is controlled via a smartphone app. Roasting profiles can be created and shared through the networked community, and the app also offers the option of ordering fresh coffee beans directly from farmers around the world, thus combining a personalized drinking experience and fair trade through short supply chains and transparency.
